The traditional 4-star hotel Eisvogel in Bad Gögging (Lower Bavaria), an oasis of tranquility, offers the right setting for quality relaxation in more ways than one. Experienced therapists contribute to the general feeling of well-being with massages, heat treatment, fango, hayflower applications and natural mud-baths in the hotel´s own spa area.
The local remedies of sulphur water and natural mud are especially effective and have a major role in the hotel´s spa treatments. Aroma massages with essential oils and progressive muscle relaxation are also very popular. A visit to the sauna is a perfect way to round off these treatments. There´s a choice of log cabin sauna, Finnish sauna or steam bath. Then to cool off there´s the pool. The sulphur swimming pool in the “Römerbadklinik” (200 meters from the hotel) offers a different kind of aquatic experience.
In the Eisvogel beauty salon Maria Galland methods and products are used to cosset HIM and HER. Classical facials, body treatments and soothing baths are available as well as evening primrose oil-creme bath and the Cleopatra bath.
Feeling fit internally as well as externally it´s time for nature, walking on marked paths alongside the backwaters of the Danube or through the local hop gardens. There´s lots to do and for cycling tours the hotel has bicycles available free of charge.
Gourmet pleasures complete the idyll. The Eisvogel restaurant which has received many awards serves seasonal cuisine which combines the modern and traditional to perfection. Roman state bath on the Danube almost 2000 years ago, today Bad Gögging offers a curative package that corresponds to its great tradition. Thanks to special geological conditions, Bad Gögging is the only spa in Bavaria to posess all three natural processes essential for rheumatherapy: highly concentrated sulphurous springs, its own natural mud and the thermal mineral water of the famous „Limes-Therme“, which is one of the most beautiful thermal baths in Germany with a water surface of 1300 square meters. There are also, of course, all the modern physiotherapies that distinguish an elite health spa.
The „Movement Laboratory“ in the new spa house is unique in Europe. Here, appropriate therapies are devised using computeraided diagnosis. Tried and tested in Bad Gögging: the spinal compact treatment. This is a forwardthinking curative concept, that the latest medical knowledge is used as an efficient therapy for the spine with a subsequently arranged and implemented program of measures.

Curative information:
