The MARC AUREL SPA & RESORT is a first-class-superior hotel, located in the small health and vacation resort Bad Gögging between München, Nürnberg and Regensburg.
About 2000 years ago the Romans settled near Bad Gögging and enjoyed the healing effect of its thermal water. This inspired the architects of the MARC AUREL in 1996 not only to give the hotel the name of the famous roman emperor Marcus Aurelius, but even to create a hotel with a remarkable atmosphere and interior.
The hotel offers 165 comfortable guest rooms and suites, the restaurants "Forum" and "Domus", bar "Quo Vadis" and various meeting facilities. Highlight of this resort is -without doubt- the unique spa area, which features a variety of services: indoor pool with thermal water (34°C), heated outdoor pool (24°C, 50 meters length), liquid sound pool (36°C), sauna, hamam, tepidarium, frigidarium and solarium.
Different massage methods and beauty packages will guarantee a relaxing stay. In addition there are a 9-hole-golf-course and a modern fitness centre directly at the hotel.

Roman state bath on the Danube almost 2000 years ago, today Bad Gögging offers a curative package that corresponds to its great tradition. Thanks to special geological conditions, Bad Gögging is the only spa in Bavaria to posess all three natural processes essential for rheumatherapy: highly concentrated sulphurous springs, its own natural mud and the thermal mineral water of the famous „Limes-Therme“, which is one of the most beautiful thermal baths in Germany with a water surface of 1300 square meters. There are also, of course, all the modern physiotherapies that distinguish an elite health spa.
The „Movement Laboratory“ in the new spa house is unique in Europe. Here, appropriate therapies are devised using computeraided diagnosis. Tried and tested in Bad Gögging: the spinal compact treatment. This is a forwardthinking curative concept, that the latest medical knowledge is used as an efficient therapy for the spine with a subsequently arranged and implemented program of measures.
Relaxation and entertainment during the treatment is provided in the form of a large program of events and the experience of the magnificent scenery between the Danube pastures and the hop gardens of the Holledau.
Bad Gögging is situated 355 metres above sea level, between Regensburg and Ingolstadt.
Curative information:
