Hotel Prinz-Luitpold-Bad ****
Traditional spa hotel, built in 1864 in a quiet mountain location with a glorious view of the Allgäu-region of the Bavarian Alps. The hotel has an old-world charm and the atmosphere of bygone days.
The Prinz-Luitpold-Bad is situated a little off the Joch-Pass-Road (part of the German Alpine Road), 70 km from Lake Constance and 45 km from the king’s castle Neuschwanstein in Füssen. Munich Airport is 190 km away.
This is also the site of Germany’s highest-altitude sulphur spring. Water from the spring along with mud-baths are the main focus of treatment available on request (under medical supervision) here at the spa. The hotel’s own springs provide water for the various bathing attractions in its 1500 square meters health spa "Quelldorado". (Indoor pool (mineral water 86°F), outdoor pool, 2 saunas, steam-bath, whirlpool, giant solarium, tennis, exercise, massages.) Facilities also include a beauty parlour and hairdressing salon.

A holiday does you good! Bad Hindelang is the ideal health and holiday region for nature lovers who enjoy life, like to keep fit and esteem genuine hospitality. Any one of the town’s six districts will enchant you with its very own special charm. Situated at an altitude between 850 and 1,200 metres, the acknowledged “Kneipp” cure spa and climatic sanatorium resort is one of Germany’s sunniest spots. You can enjoy wholly intact natural surroundings here thanks to far-sighted landscape conservation and the close cooperation between tourism, agriculture and environmentalists. This region is one big garden – one of the last widely used natural landscapes. Flora and fauna are highly varied and few other places have brooks and rivers with water so clean and clear. What more could you wish for an active or relaxing, quiet holiday in the healthy climate of the Allgäu Alps. Summer: More than two dozen high-mountain pasture landscapes, alpine instruction and tours with a state registered mountain guide, 290 kilometres of rambling and mountain hiking paths, modern mountain cable lifts, such as the 8-person gondola Hornbahn, for example, arts and crafts exhibitions, guided tours to churches, animation programmes, childrens programme, “Kneipp” cure facilities, climate pavilion, mountain-bike and cycling trails, open-air swimming pool, high-moor swimming pool and the “Prince Gumpe” fun spa gardens. Winter: 32 km of ski slopes with 11 tow-lifts and a 6-person chair lift, snow guaranteed by artificial snow makers, 45 km of double and free-style cross-country ski routes, 1.5 km illuminated night cross-country ski course, 50 km of cleared winter rambling trails, 3 x 3.5 km toboggan runs and 1 natural ice rink.
