Bad Bayersoien – a WellVital resort: Bayern Tourismus Marketing GmbH has awarded the title of WellVital resort to Bad Bayersoien: a title that the historic, picturesque village justly deserves. As one enters the village the eye is drawn to Lake Soier which, as one of the warmest lakes in Bavaria, provides the ideal summer bathing for young and old alike. The village’s idyllic location in the heart of the Pfaffenwinkel at the foot of the Ammergau Alps and just a stone’s throw from the Zugspitze, the palaces of King Ludwig, the famous “Wieskirche” - the pilgrimage church of our scourged Saviour and the Ettal monastery makes it the ideal starting point for exploring the region. The village of some 1,200 people is noted for its variety of unspoilt lakes and moorlands as well as the wide range of leisure, wellness and culinary delights on offer. All visitors to the village find just what they need here regardless of whether they are coming in search of wellness, a more active holiday or a relaxing family holiday.
