The Weingut team aim to create a perfect symbiosis of wine culture, good food, superb accommodation and joie de vivre.
The guesthouse apartment set in the middle of the estate enables visitors to experience first hand and in depth the everyday life at the vineyard. Looking out over the rooftops of Würzburg, the Weingut am Stein guesthouse nestles amongst the vineyards like a monolith of limestone. The guesthouse apartment offers three lovingly appointed rooms, an open livingdining room and a bathroom.
Shell limestone is an important factor in the growing of grapes at Weingut am Stein. The limestone used in the facade of the guesthouse dates from the mid-Triassic period and was sourced from a quarry south of Würzburg. Thus visitors can see from the moment they walk through the door the quality of the ground on which the vineyard is based. The apartment overlooks the estate’s state-of-the-art winery housed in a cube shaped glass building with an oak facade. Oak has a very special
importance for this winery. Its use dates back to the craft of the cooper. The wooden facade also reflects the use of the wood for the posts supporting the wire framework erected for the vines to climb up thus symbolising the guesthouses close proximity to the vineyard and the origins of the excellence of the wine produced at the Weingut am Stein. The interior is a symbiosis of the transparency created by the extensive use of glass and the clear-cut lines of the concrete.

The building that was honoured by an award from the German architects association (Bund Deutscher Architekten) concentrates on simplicity just as they do in the wine production at the Weingut am Stein.
The “WeinWerk am Stein” is a place to meet people and for tasting the wines maturing in the cellar. The wines are noted for their fine fruit aromas and a delicate acidity bestowing a vigour, structure and youthful freshness. The Weingut am Stein
offers a variety of ways in which visitors can immerse themselves in the world of wine: on guided tours of the renowned Würzburger Stein vineyard, on cookery courses, at wine tasting sessions in the cellar or in the estate restaurant where they
can experience the full range of cuisine, art and wine.

“Reisers” is the name of the estate’s restaurant and wine bar. Bernhard Reiser’s “Reisers Restaurant” is a wonderful mixture of the traditional and the innovative, the Franconian and the exotic. But above all “Reisers” wants to ensure that their guests
relax and enjoy the full “Reisers experience”. Offering a range of original lighter dishes as well as a full table d’hote menu for guests who are really hungry, the restaurant and wine bar also serve the full range of wines produced at the vineyard as well as an exclusive selection of international red wines.
