The Chiemgau is a cross-country skiers paradise with a trail in almost every village. There’s something to suit everyone from mountain tours to classic cross country trails and skating trails. The ones high up on the Winklmoosalm (1,100m) only a stone’s throw from the Winklmoos-Steinplatte resort are particularly popular as are the floodlit trails in Siegsdorf-Rudhart, Ruhpolding, Reit im Winkl and Schleching. Our absolute highlight just has to be the fantastic Chiemgau marathon trail! A wonderful 30 kilometres, snow-sure trail that runs partly through the Chiemgauer Alpen nature reserve and connects Chiemgau’s three classic resorts of Inzell, Ruhpolding and Reit im Winkl.
