Sledding in Oberstdorf
The diversity of sledding available in Oberstdorf is second almost to none!
On the one hand there are two thrilling 3 km long natural sled runs: one starting from the intermediate station of the Seealpe on Nebelhorn, the other starting at the Gaisalpe guesthouse in Reichenbach/Oberstdorf whilst on the other hand there is also the "SöllereckRodel" all-weather all-year-round sled run next to the valley station of the Söllereckbahn for everyone to enjoy.
But that’s not all: the well-maintained sledding slopes in and around Oberstdorf are particularly popular with children whilst their parents can enjoy a few relaxing moments in a deck chair at the "Karatsbichl" restaurant or a cup of coffee and a piece of delicious cake in the café right next to the slope and keep a watchful eye on their little ones. Or how about enjoying a sled drive along one of the side valleys in a horse-drawn carriage? Just imagine being snugly wrapped in warm blankets watching the snowy landscape slide tranquilly by!
