Sleep in an igloo or in a hay barn in Pfronten
Pfronten offers quite a different way of spending a winter’s night: what do you think of the idea of spending the night in an igloo or in a hayloft surrounded by sweet smelling hay?
Sleeping in a hay barn
Spending the night in a hay barn is bound to be an unforgettable experience for both young and old. It all kicks off in the afternoon when you strap on your snowshoes and set off on a one-hour hike up the mountain. You are accompanied by an experienced guide who, when you stop at the hay museum, will be able to tell you all about how things used to be.
After that it is time to settle yourself into your accommodation before setting off once more for a nearby mountain chalet. Here you can relax and enjoy an enjoyable dinner of Allgäu specialities ranging from mountain cheese and cheesy noodles right through to full menus. After dinner you return to the barn and cuddle down in a bed of sweet-smelling mountain hay. Next morning you can look forward to a thrilling race down the mountain on a bob that is steerable thus enabling you to whiz down the steep slopes at top speed.
