The Castle Road
Set out along the likes of Bavaria’s Castle Road, visiting places Bayreuth with Wagner, Nuremberg or UNESCO city Bamberg with its palaces and half-timbered houses. Along the route lies famous Rothenburg ob der Tauber, where you can switch to the well-established Romantic Road.
The 70 or so fortresses, castles and palaces along the route are ready and waiting for you to visit. Numerous museums, mediaeval towns and enchanting buildings full of cultural treasures line the route through the most attractive of landscapes and bear witness to a time long gone.
