Information about "Accessible Tourism"

From Franconia to Upper Bavaria and from the Allgäu to the Bayerischer Wald (Bavarian Forest): On this website you will find numerous tourism providers who can turn your barrier-free holiday in Bavaria into a thoroughly relaxing and rejuvenating experience.

We present transport options, accommodation (from luxury hotels to self-catering holiday apartments), leisure activities in Bavaria’s magnificent natural surroundings and cultural offerings ranging from folk festivals to theatrical performances, all of which are fully accessible for disabled holidaymakers.

In addition you can find links to more general organisations and (regional) associations that can support you in your planning by providing additional information and tips.

Numerous establishments have had their products and services assessed in line with the nationwide “Barrier-free Travel for All” information and labelling system. All the relevant information about barrier-free access at every establishment or service provider has been assessed by trained reviewers for all groups of people (e.g. those with limited mobility, those with sensory impairment). In addition, at least one member of staff in each case is familiar with the special requirements of different groups of guests. The thoroughly checked and detailed information can be viewed before departure so that all guests can assess for themselves which offers are most suitable for their individual needs when planning a trip.

All these establishments can be identified by the symbol:
