Passau’s Old Town seems like a gigantic ship rising up out of the waters of the three rivers Danube, Inn and Ilz. The city skyline is dominated by numerous church towers and the St. Steven’s Cathedral. The city’s magical townscape, built in Italian Baroque style, is full of historic buildings, large squares, romantic promenades and winding lanes. At Christmas time, the Old Town is festively decorated - especially the Cathedral Square, the home of the Christmas Market.
An impressive Christmas Market will again take place in front of the St.-Stephan-Cathedral in the old town center of Passau.
