This is being celebrated:
The so-called “Kinderzeche”, or Children’s Feast, was first documented in 1629. According to the legend, a wagon load of children softened the heart of the wicked Colonel Sperreuth, who then spared the town. Kinderzeche Dinkelsbühl is the main festival of the year. The celebrations continue for ten days. Since December 2016 the Kinderzeche has enjoyed intangible cultural heritage status.
