The public baths are located just a few minutes away from the pedestrian zone of Augsburg's city centre on foot. The baths which opened in 1903 were built in a contemporary art nouveau style. This is the second oldest indoor pool in Bavaria, after the “Müllersche Volksbad” in Munich, and certainly one of the most impressive.
In keeping with the ideal of art nouveau, a complete work of art was created by means of high-quality materials and state-of-the-art construction technologies. The public baths provide visitors with two large indoor swimming pools, a sauna area and relaxation and massage rooms. The two light-flooded halls are designed differently with elegant art nouveau details. They have a gallery with a quiet area from which you can view the pool. The ornate banisters of the Ladies' Hall, the mosaic tiling and other artistic details give the pool a unique ambience.
There is also a café in the old public baths, so there is also excellent provision for your physical well-being.
