Covering an area of over 6,000 square metres, classic car fanatics can get a close-up view of Germany’s automotive history in Amerang in the Chiemgau region. 220 historic vehicles from all eras of automotive history can be seen here – from carriages from the Roaring Twenties and streamlined beauties from the 1930s through to masterpieces of the 1960s. Sports cars such as the legendary Mercedes Benz 200 SL and the BMW M1 are on show next to luxury carriages. Cult vehicles like the BMW Isetta are naturally an integral part of the display.
In addition, the EFA Museum of German Automotive History also has what is probably the largest exhibition of the Spur II model railway.
