“At the Alp, you can taste 'nature'...
...young, fresh, always reinterpreting and working together.”
Barbara Schlachter-Ebert trained with the biggest chefs and at the finest restaurants in the country. She also gained experience in Switzerland and France and is also mother to three children.
There is no doubt in the vast mountain world: she is the number one chef in the Allgäu. In the shadow of mighty mountain peaks and in the thin air at 1,130 metres above sea level, she offers her guests down-to-earth typical local dishes, which are not lacking in cosmopolitan, filigree texture and – untypically for the alpine region – are not heavy at all as they arrive on the rustic tables.
The delicacies are worth the arduous ascent or even the entertaining car ride through the wild, romantic Allgäu alpine foothills to the Schlossanger Alp at the foot of the Falkenstein. And then there’s the view that takes your breath away.
