Knee-deep in mud: people laugh, fool around and wade through the mud pool to the wash station. They scrub the mud from their skin with brushes before moving on to the water-treading pool of the barefoot trail. The trail leads through a spa park covering 163,000 square metres in Bad Wörishofen. The park is here for a reason: this is the town where pastor Sebastian Kneipp first developed his famous Kneipp therapy. It is still famous for its treatments today, and Kneipp’s spirit remains a tangible presence here.
