Cinematic scenery on the cross-country skiing trail in Chiemsee-Alpenland
The 14.7 km Priental trail offers a thrilling change of scene, ensuring wonderfully cinematic scenery.
The section between Aschau and the mountaineering village of Sachrang is very popular with cross-country skiers. The benefits are immediately apparent and a boon to all winter sports enthusiasts: beautifully prepared trails, good snow conditions and varied countryside.
The Priental trail is also one of the cinematic scenery trails of Upper Bavaria, which have to meet numerous criteria while also offering impressive highlights.
Cinematic scenery on the cross-country skiing trail with a happy ending
The trail starts at the hikers’ car park in Hainbach. In classic style through the woods and along the banks of the Prien. Then comes a change of scene: The narrow valley opens out into a wide corridor full of bright sunshine. From here on the trail is also groomed for skaters. The Geigelstein, farms and the mountaineering village of Sachrang form a wonderful winter backdrop. Good news: The trail ends at the door of an inn, and those who no longer wish to get back on the trail after a hearty meal can take the bus back to Hainbach.
