Visitor biathlon in Kaltenbrunn
On the home track of world champions Martina Beck and Magdalena Neuer!In Alpenwelt Karwendel guests over 16 years old can follow in the footsteps of top athletes Magdalena Neuner and Martina Beck. Both world champions are at home in the Alpenwelt locations of Wallgau and Mittenwald, and got “big” in Kaltenbrunn. Every Wednesday (during the winter season, excluding public holidays) at 11 a.m., the biathlon athletes from the Skigau Werdenfels registered association run the convivial visitor biathlon on the circuit with guaranteed snow in Kaltenbrunn at Krün. The participants learn the correct skating style and demonstrate their talents on the original training routes.
You must register the day before at the tourist information offices in Mittenwald, Krün or Wallgau.

Introductory biathlon in Nesselwang
In the footsteps of three-time Olympic champion Michael Greis!You can experience every biathlon emotion and the competitive atmosphere on the modern biathlon track at the Allgäu trend sports centre in Nesselwang.
The Nesselwang ski club and the tourist information office at Nesselwang offer an introductory course every Thursday from 4:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. throughout the year, where everyone can show off their best “biathlon skills”. As shooting takes place with air rifles, the course is only available to people aged 12 and over.
The tourist information office in Nesselwang accepts registrations until the preceding Tuesday.

Biathlon experiences in the Bayerischer Wald (Bavarian Forest)
In Hohenzollern ski stadium on Grosser Arber, everyone can have a go at being a biathlete!The Hohenzollern ski stadium lies at the foot of Grosser Arber in the Bayerischer Wald (Bavarian Forest), where you have the unique opportunity to feel like a professional biathlete yourself. Eight different route sections and a shooting range with 30 lanes enable novices and amateur athletes alike to “let off steam” here. There is a wide range of options, from an introductory course every Wednesday to a one or two-day biathlon workshop (dates by arrangement) and corporate events.

Experience biathlon behind the scenes!With the Chiemgau Card, holiday guests can get to know the Chiemgau Arena in Ruhpolding with expert guidance. The team from the Fritz Fischer biathlon camp takes you behind the scenes at the Olympic centre and provides you with lots of background information. Those who want to can demonstrate their shooting talent on the original small bore shooting ranges (for a fee).

In the “experience biathlon” programme, guests can learn to handle biathlon small bore weapons in team training and shoot at the original folding targets at a distance of 50m on the world cup and world championship ranges. Technical/skating training and the final relay competition with a presentation ceremony complete the experience.
