Who still knows how to light a fire, find food in the wilderness or build a shelter? The Tölzer Land is home to many nature experts: trained herb specialists, mushroom experts and nature instructors, who lead their guests off into the world of the wilderness. Family survival, jungle trips in the moorland forest, pond safaris or forest experience days - the places of Bad Heilbrunn, Benediktbeuern, Kochel am See and Lenggries offer a special nature experience programme from May to September. In Bad Tölz and the Jachenau, interested visitors can join one-day or multi-day seminars about survival in the “wilderness”: which plants are edible and how do you get water from a tree trunk? Those who want a more spiritual experience will find balance within gentle nature through Shinirin Yoku, guided forest bathing. Herb experts reveal the secrets of wild herbs and plants on mushroom and herb walks, cookery courses and workshops that use ingredients from the forests and meadows to create products. Various themed walks and nature experience trails allow visitors to find out about the forest under their own steam.
