Simon Fischer is standing in a huge cloud of sawdust and fibre glass. He’s wearing a mask over his mouth and nose. His mind is completely focused on the blank slab of local timber. Carefully he uses a power saw to cut out a longboard. Daylight tries to force its way in through a small, broken window covered with plastic. In this old stall in Wertach in the Swabian district of Oberallgäu, Simon Fischer is in a room that was once used to store cattle feed. Today it is the workshop of King Lui Boards.
