Original English country house in the heart of the Bavarian mountainsIt was at this special place of natural power 100 years ago that British aristocrat Mary Isabel Portman had a country house built in the Arts and Crafts style in the heart of the Bavarian Alps.
A special highlight is the Kranzbach treehotel in the middle of a 50 m2 forest with highest level comfort.
Today DAS KRANZBACH is a specialist wellness and leisure hotel offering an oasis of peace and calm for private adult guests. The hotel is situated in 13 hectares of protected meadows and forests at 1030 m above sea level. The interior design of the historic main house was created by Ilse Crawford of London. The rooms in the Garden Wing and the Bathhouse are flooded with light, with plenty of wood and glass and natural materials. The idyllic valley invites guests to take some exercise in the fresh air; pools, saunas and wellness treatments afterwards are perfect for pampering the spirit. This hideaway is easy to get to – only around one hour’s drive from Munich.
